Can This Even Be Called Music? Fill It Up With Ghosts is a marvellous album, and I’m quite excited to listen to the two ulterior releases of the band. If you’re a fan of really well-crafted experimental rock with an important jazz influence (or maybe it’s the other way around), this album’s for you! It is sublime!

Christopher Moklebust Basically, it's about this face. Sometimes it's hostile, but that's not its intention - simply a byproduct of its nature. It will phase from time-to-time, to-and-fro, from analogue to digital. Many a' time will it glitch and pop. And eventually the face will speak to you - though without any point of reference. Take this for what you will - but it's fucking awesome! Favorite track: RASH.

Since their first performances in early 2006, trioVD have proven themselves to be among the most exciting and energetic bands associated with the Leeds Improvised Music Association (LIMA). LIMA is a Leeds-based collective of musicians that has been producing and promoting improvised music since its inception in 2005. Other LIMA musicians include maverick pianist Matthew Bourne and the in-demand double bassist and composer Dave Kane.

The past years have seen the band blow away audiences at The London and Gateshead Jazz festivals and feature heavily on Radio 3’s Flagship Jazz show ‘Jazz on 3’.

trioVD’s appearance at the Time Out ‘On The Up’ festival was voted ‘4th best gig of the year’ in Time Out’s 2008 round-up.

The band were picked to be part of the BBC’s Introducing initiative in 2008 and their cover version of Radiohead’s ‘Nude’ was featured in The Guardian London Jazz Festival special in November 2008.

Tigran created a graceful album that feels like the story of the universe is unfolding in front of you. Equally gripping and carefree, it's a solid and fulfilling experience. Pacing's pretty neat, plus the way musicians play brings another layer of stylish personality and class. Compositions are astoundingly beautiful and can be super catchy or quite melancholic, showing how much of a pristine vibe the range of emotions on this project is.
